In the Footsteps of Saint Paul in Rome

Saint Paul in Rome

A Private Tour Following the Apostle's Journey

According to the Acts of the Apostles, Saint Paul arrived in Rome as a prisoner, coming via the ancient Appian Way. His journey to Rome marks one of the most significant episodes in early Christian history. Tradition holds that he was held in the Mamertine Prison together with Saint Peter, preached to the first Roman Christians, and was eventually martyred under Emperor Nero at a place known as Acquae Salviae.

Today, this site is known as the Abbey of the Three Fountains, commemorating the spot where, according to legend, three fountains sprang up where Paul’s head struck the ground. He was buried along the Via Ostiense, where now stands the majestic Basilica of St. Paul Outside-the-Walls, one of the four major papal basilicas of Rome and the second largest after St. Peter’s.

This full-day private tour offers a powerful journey through the sacred places connected with the Apostle Paul’s mission, imprisonment, and martyrdom in Rome.
