Monte Cassino American Battlefield Tour – In the Footsteps of the 34th Infantry Division
Follow the heroic journey of the 34th “Red Bull” Infantry Division during the Battle of Monte Cassino in 1944. This full-day private tour is led by historian Dr. Danila Bracaglia and is perfect for families, military history enthusiasts, and descendants of American WWII soldiers who fought in Italy.
The 34th Division was one of the first U.S. units to arrive in Europe and among the most heavily engaged in the Italian Campaign. At Monte Cassino, they fought some of the toughest and bloodiest battles of the war — crossing the Rapido River, assaulting steep hills under fire, and pushing toward the Benedictine Abbey.
